HOSPITALITY
CITY HOTEL FRANKFURT
My hospitality career started in June 2004. Being a receptionist in City Hotel introduced me to hotel business principles and workflow. After several training days, I was allowed to start working alone and fulfill Front Desk Agent responsibilities. I've learned how to use the hotel property management system: Hot Check Win. My daily routine extended to some of the back office tasks such as market research and pricing optimizations on online booking platforms. In November 2005 I had to leave the position due to constant, unjustified wages withholding from employees and excessively unpleasant communication manners of one of the business owners. Nevertheless I am grateful for all the useful, professional experience I've gained here.
MEININGER HOTEL FRANKFURT/MAIN MESSE
In March 2006 my hospitality career continued in Meininger Hotel Frankfurt Messe. Experiences I have gained in this hotel were unique and unforgettable in many ways. Our main team has been assembled, before the hotel opened. We assisted management and owners in everything, - setting up reception, creating work environment, putting future reservations into the system and even testing the new building by staying there overnight. Grand opening was very exciting and exhilarating. I was introduced to the new hotel property management system: ASSD. The system is similar to Opera, however it has Meininger hotel specific additional functionality and convenient group management options. Unfortunately, in early January 2010 I had to leave, as I had to invest more time into studying Computer Science, and my request to change school in order to study hospitality was not approved by foreigners Authority.
COLOUR HOTEL
In March 2010 I recommenced my hospitality career in Colour Hotel. The cozy and colorful hotel is located right next to the main train station of Frankfurt am Main. Here I applied all the knowledge and experience I've previously gained. Hot Check Win was again the hotel property management system I've used on daily basis. My responsibilities included certain back office aspects. Every now and then I helped with system, phone and internet outages. Altogether it was a pleasure working here and we were on very good terms with the owner. Sadly, late January 2013 I had to bid farewell, as I moved to Los Angeles in March 2013.
